Communal Welfare

The Rabbi and his wife run a "hessed" program to help families in financial distress and to coordinate meals for families after the birth of a new baby, during an illness, etc. This basic structure is extended to include communal involvement and assistance at any time of need.

Every Shabbat the soldiers protecting the yishuv are invited to different families for meals.

Synagogue

One united synagogue operates in Nokdim, with no set ethnic affiliation: Ashkenazi, Sefardi and Yemenite worshippers gather for weekday Shaharit and Ma'ariv and full Shabbat services, the 'nusach' depending on the 'hazan'.

A "daf yomi" group meets in the mornings before Shaharit. There are weekly shiurim on various topics for men and for women.

Health services

Two of the doctors who live in Nokdim have consulting hours at home. In addition, clinics belonging to each of the "kupot holim" are easily accessible (Tekoa, Efrat, Alon Shvut) and offer a range of specialists, laboratory services, etc. There is an ambulance permanently located in Nokdim, with a volunteer driver available for emergencies.

Extra-curricular activities

Kids' afternoon groups include ballet, karate, sports, midrash study, story-time, and carpentry; cultural evening activities for adults include yoga, arts and crafts, basketball, various shiurim, and more.

Nokdim maintains an active Bnei Akiva group with local teens, assisted by external personnel, serving as counselors for the younger age groups.

Teenagers

A trained youth leader is employed to run programs and activities for teens on a weekly basis, as well as to organize occasional trips. A youth club-room offers a venue for hanging out, socializing, homework, etc.

Library

The Nokdim library is open three times a week and offers a selection of books for children and adults in Hebrew, English and Russian.
